Senoi
Grandparents
in their wisdom
sit beside the sleeping children
waiting to help them
gently, as they wake,
help them to remember
dream-time’s wonders
“You were falling, falling,
and you woke with a start?
What a lucky dreamer!
What a clever grandchild!
Nothing in dreams can ever hurt you!
In dreams, you can never harm anyone.
Next time you have that blessed dream of falling,
trust it, and fall to find your own power place.
If you’re lucky enough to fall to many places,
find the courage to learn to fly
to the one you choose.
If you meet a Being,
no matter how monstrous-seeming,
be polite, as to your elders, unafraid.
Greet it; ask its name.
Ask for a message; ask if it has a gift for you.
(They often do!) And always thank it!
The Being’s simple presence is a blessed gift.
How proud we are of you,
beautiful Visioner for the people!
Lucky, powerful, dreaming child!
(Old and young, so close to the Source,
both breathing the breeze of Mystery!)
