Inanna

Queen of Heaven,

suddenly brave,

I quit the sterile citadel of light,

(to descend, up-end.)

I enter naked body,

cave of gloom,

mysterious, a womb, a grave,

(power’s trappings stripped, un-gripped)

not caring what the cost.

I learn to feel, to know My worth,

to root Myself in the real,

the humble bower of all that grows,

uniting heaven and earth, body and soul.

Embracing Dark, I become Whole,

completing hope’s birthing hour:

the electric circuit of life's power.
